The polyamide of the first part of the column is gone.

The OPTIC inlet can heat fast and can go to very high temperatures.

Most GC columns have a maximum temperature of 240 till 400 depending on the coating and stationary phase. The OPTIC inlet can go till 600°C and for that reason the coating on the fused silica capillary will be gone after several runs of the inlet.

This is no problem and it will not affect the results of the analysis. Some people deliberately go to the high temperature and remove the coating of the column as the polyamide is active for some compounds and by removing the coating the active sides are gone and the sample does not degrade.
