Can I use a metal column in the CrypTrap of the OPTIC?

Solution

No, sorry it is not possible to use a metal column in the OPTIC CryoTrap.

The CryoTrap uses a direct heating technique, when a metal column is inserted it will shortcut the heater.

Please use a fused silica retention gap first and connect this to the metal column.
