Dirty liner in the top

A dirty liner with dirt in the top of the liner on the outside after many samples is normal. A liner that is used multiple times for pyrolysis will also slowly get less clear. It does not mean that the liner cannot be used any more, but finally the liner must be replaced.

The total flow goes from the top of the liner trough the liner and the split flow goes from the outside of the liner to the top and leaves the inlet body at about 15 mm from the top of the liner.

The top of the inlet is just a bit colder and sample will condens here in the top. Don't worry this is normal, the liner can be cleaned on the outside but finally it must be replaced.
