Inertsil Phenyl-3 (Ph-3) LC Columns

- Virtually perfect peak shape for most bases and acids
- Unique selectivity
- Exceptional physical and chemical durability provides long column life
- Vast database of chromatographic applications available to assist in method development
- Very low operating back pressure
Phenyl column offering strong pi-pi interactions.
Phenyl-bonded phase provides pi-pi interactions occuring between Phenyl groups and analytes. Inertsil Ph-3 has Phenyl groups directly bonded to Silica gel whereas common phenyl columns have Phenylalkyl groups bonded to Silica gel. Therefore, compared with common phenyl columns, the separation by Inertsil Ph-3 is based more strongly on pi-pi interactions.
InertSustain Phenyl, another Phenyl column of GL Sciences, shows different selectivity as it has Phenyl groups more densely on the Silica surface.
